On the Edge — SNJ-6 Texan Aviation

Jeff Shetterly flying "Radial Rumble!"

A historic SNJ-6 Texan banks dramatically toward the viewer, its wings nearly vertical as a powerful trail of smoke stretches across the sky.

The head-on perspective reveals the aircraft's distinctive radial engine, broad wings, and classic military trainer profile, transforming a fleeting aerobatic maneuver into a striking aviation portrait.

On the Edge celebrates the skill of the pilot and the enduring appeal of vintage military aircraft in flight. Captured by Alan Forshee, this photograph combines historic aviation character with the excitement of a modern airshow.
